To Qualify for Canadian Passport Renewal:
You may be eligible to renew your Canadian passport if you meet the following requirements:
  • You can provide your most recent Canadian passport, and it is in good condition
  • You are currently residing in the United States
  • You are 16 years of age or older
  • Your passport is still valid or has expired within the last year
  • You are able to provide proof of citizenship

Your passport photo must meet the following requirements:
  • Clear, sharp, and in focus
  • Neutral facial expression (no smiling, mouth closed)
  • Eyes open and clearly visible
  • Sized at 50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches x 2¾ inches)
  • Face height between 31 mm and 36 mm (from chin to top of head)
  • Reflect your current appearance and taken within the last six months
  • Professionally printed on high-quality photographic paper
  • Not printed at home or on heavy-weight paper
  • Original and unaltered (not edited or taken from an existing photo)

  • A clear copy of your driver’s license or state-issued ID (the address must match your current application details exactly)
  • A recent utility bill (such as water, gas, electric, or sewage)
  • A current lease agreement with both landlord and tenant signatures
